Wow! Who is the Buoyant Kid?????

I came across The Buoyant Kid last week. A mysterious individual who for some reason  writes under an alias. I'm not sure why this is, but I was more intrigued by what they had to say than their identity. I tried to Google their name but found no results that could help me identify this individual. Long story short I came across a piece of their writing that made me look at life and want MORE from it. This piece meant a great deal to me because I had just attended an Eminem concert. Eminem being one of the people I look up to in my desired profession. Anyway without further ado; Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you, The Buoyant Kid:

Imagine being in a packed concert and you've been standing screaming your voice till it got [hoarse]. The artists performing are your favorites you know their songs as if you wrote them yourself. Now here's something to think about, you were just an audience member maybe their biggest fan. You were a witness to how following your dream is, yet you don't realize that you are part of what was once someone's dream. We live life believing we need to do things the generic way, after high school it's tertiary and then work. Well that's not how it always plays out.

We can't all be meant to do things the generic way, but our societies see fault when you do things your way. Your way may not necessarily be planned, it may be a result to a few decisions. Following the dream you had to exhibit  your work among the best in the industry. The dream you were told that the sky shouldn't be the limit of. The dream you've been chasing instead of studying something to please your parents and family.

You are not the same calibre as the people in suits with their degrees. What does that say about societies that are hypocritical? When you're young you can dream, just as you believed in Father Christmas, but when you get older you are meant to forget it all and do things the generic way.

In closing, with life's certainties, be certain you are doing things in your custom way.

Following your dreams may be the hardest test you've come across. Remember how being an audience member is and perform on your own stage. You might be your only audience member in the beginning but with zeal, you are bound to reach a breakthrough. If it means working during the day and doing what you love at night, well, you'll do it.

Remember you have to live with yourself. don't be your own worst enemy because you followed a dream that was not yours.
