This is the first post of my blog so I think it's only right that I introduce myself. The name is Neo. Yes, that's the full name not an abbreviation for anything. It means gift in my language. I am originally from South Africa (Welkom), now based in Adelaide, South Australia.
I am a hip hop artist (part of a group Thee Immaculate) and a university/college student (Shout out to Flinders University). Unfortunately university studies have got a hold on me and I can't focus on music as much as I would like, for now. From as far back as I can remember I always wanted to do music. I'm obsessed with succeeding in all areas of my life including music and I work zealously towards the attainment of success in all areas of my life.
Everyone who knows me personally knows that I never use words like 'Impossible' & 'Cant' when referring to my ability to attain success. I was brought up to be very ambitious and never give up because winners don't quit and quitters don't win.
I'm almost always inspired and owe that to the people around me. It's important to remember where you came from so I always make references to my heritage in my songs, because if you don't know where you're from it's going to be challenging trying to find out where you're headed.
People often tell me they can see the passion and hunger for success in my eyes and sometimes comment that it's only a matter of time before Thee Immaculate 'make it' and that good things come to those who wait. I appreciate the love and also believe that great is he who hustles while he waits.
I live on positive affirmations -
'Luck is not some mystical power that bounces around the universe landing on random individuals, when I realized this I knew it was time to start creating my own luck'
'When you struggle to find people who are constantly inspired as you are, you learn that, if you want something done you have to do it yourself'
'Everyday in Every way I'm getting better and better'
This is the start of something bigger than I can imagine. Follow me on this journey... It won't be easy but obstacles and pressure are a good thing because remember: Diamonds are chunks of coal exposed to pressure.
